Juliette, in her twenties, takes advantage of an open house to revisit her childhood home and bring back memories that marked her childhood. "The house is used to fix memories to make them indelible", she says. She remembers the arrival of Tom, her little brother.
Nicknamed Major Tom by his parents (as in Bowie's song Space Oddity), the little boy was born with a severe handicap, cerebral palsy. From the shock of the news to the acceptance of his condition, through the weight of other people's gaze and the difficulties of finding services in the daycare center, the different stages of mourning by the parents Michel and Pénélope are told to us through Juliette's narration.
